I am perplexed about our prison systems. In one way I think they all should lose all privileges and just be chained to a wall. I think if you break the law you pay the consequences. yet I see time after time from watching all of these lockup shows that peeps who weren't bad criminals going in will be coming out.

I think we need way more division in the crime. If some young kid goes in for dealing drugs and immediately has to join a gang to survive, then he will come out an actual better criminal.
They have to fight to survive and this causes so much tension, stress and craziness.

I think people that do non violent crimes should maybe be allowed a tv in their room. Maybe some books and a few things to keep them from going stir crazy. I know they have a tv in the main room but then they fight over what to watch and it becomes a case of surviving again.

If you put me in a box and don't give me anything to think about except how pissed I am that I got caught this is not gonna reform me. It will do what it does to most inmates and make me a loose cannon.
I watch these shows and it seems the prisoners run the prisons. They overflow toilets to cause uproar. They throw feces at guards. If you give them luxuries I dont think they will be as violent. I also don't think there would be such a huge shock when reentering society.

So if they are murderers then I say murder them. If they are rapist then let another inmate rape them. However if their crime is fraud or drugs or anything nonviolent then let them have something to keep them busy. If once you do they abuse the privilege they get to join the chain gang on the wall.

So bottom line is chain them to a wall or give them something to do over than kill each other.
